AALROOT designs and manufactures IoT smart connected machines in Coimbatore, India – smart irrigation, UPI QRPay devices, water ATMs and vending machines – together with the mobile apps that control them. In this policy, "AALROOT", "we", "us" and "our" mean AALROOT, 3/271 C, Kulathur Road, Venkitapuram, Chinniyampalayam, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu 641062, India.
02What this policy covers
This policy applies to our website www.aalroot.com and to the AALROOT mobile apps for Android and iOS (together, our "Service"), including:
- AALROOT Water Vend
- AALROOT Smart Tank
- AALROOT Smart Vend
- AALROOT Pay
- AALROOT FEC Pay
Our apps are provided by AALROOT at no cost and are intended for use as is. By using our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described here. Words used in this policy have the same meaning as in our Terms of Use.
03Information we collect
When you use our apps
- Information you give us – for a better experience, we may ask for certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to your mobile number. We keep it and use it as described in this policy.
- Information about your machines – for the AALROOT machines linked to your account, the app works with details such as sales and payment transactions, stock, prices and device status, so that it can show them to you and let you control your machines.
- Log data – if an error happens in an app, we collect data and information on your phone (through third-party products) called log data. It may include your device's Internet Protocol ("IP") address, device name, operating system version, the app's configuration when using our Service, the time and date of your use, and other statistics.
When you visit our website
- No account, no sign-up – you can read the whole website without telling us who you are.
- Your region, to choose a language – on your first visit, the website asks a location service (GeoJS, or ipapi.co as a backup) which Indian state your internet address belongs to, so it can show pages in Hindi or Tamil where that helps. Only the result (for example "Hindi-speaking state") is remembered, in your own browser, for 30 days. You can change the language at any time.
- Messages you choose to send – the contact form does not save anything on our website. It opens WhatsApp with the details you typed (name, phone, email, product and message); we receive them only if you press Send in WhatsApp. If you call or email us, we receive your number or email address and what you tell us.
- Videos – our product videos are hosted on YouTube. The preview pictures load from YouTube's image server; the video player itself (youtube-nocookie.com) loads only when you press play, and Google's privacy policy then applies.
- Server logs – like every website, our web server records basic technical information (IP address, browser type, pages requested and the time) to keep the site running and secure.
04How we use your information
- To provide our Service – run the apps, connect them to your machines, and show you your transactions and reports.
- To answer your questions and quote for our products when you contact us.
- To fix errors, keep our Service secure, and understand how to improve it.
- To show the website in a language that suits you.
- To meet our legal obligations.
07Security
We value your trust in providing us your personal information, so we use commercially acceptable means to protect it. But no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
08How long we keep it
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy – for example while your account or machines are active – or as long as the law requires. After that we delete it or make it anonymous.
09Your choices and rights
- See, correct or delete – you can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Write to us (see Contact us) and we will reply as soon as we can.
- Language – choose English, हिन्दी or தமிழ் at any time with the language switch at the top of the website.
- Browser storage – clearing your browser's site data removes every setting our website has saved.
- Apps – you can stop using an app and uninstall it at any time.
10Children's privacy
Our Service is not meant for anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we find out that a child under 13 has given us personal information, we delete it from our servers immediately. If you are a parent or guardian and you know your child has given us personal information, please contact us so that we can take the necessary action.
11Links to other sites
Our Service may contain links to other sites, such as Google Play, the App Store, WhatsApp, YouTube and our social media pages. If you click a third-party link, you will be taken to that site. These sites are not operated by us, so we strongly advise you to read their privacy policies. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies or practices of any third-party sites or services.
